It is one of the most ancient Churches in the town. A valuable fresco, of umbro-senese school, dated around the half of the XV century, is inside the Church. “Our Lady with the Holy Child” together with “lashers” or “punishers”, representing a penitential group that was active in Umbria since 1200.

The Church, as appears today, is the restructuring of the ancient shrine of “St Mary of Chastisers”, dated around 1650.
