Besides the usual dances in the equipped places, the Carnival of Valentano lives especially in the days of Shrove Thursday and Tuesday, last day of the party, with masquerades and dances, often accompanied by allegorical wagons for the streets of the town.

Anciently it was used to actually dance to the dawn of the last day of Carnival. To the dawn a group of merry fellows, armed with a great umbrella (La Compagnia del Ghetto, The Ghetto's Company) wandered around the town waking up the companions and the friends "sleepy-heads" to make them offereing drinks or sweets in the cafes. All accompanied by the song of the traditional rhyme:
È morto Carnevale e chi le piagnerà - Ugly Carnival's dead, who shall mourn?
La Compagnia del ghetto farà la carità... - The Ghetto's Company will collect for...
